Spanish embassy official dies falling off roof in Gulshan

An official of the Embassy of Spain in Bangladesh died after falling from the roof of a building in the capital’s Gulshan on Sunday (March 3) afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Ismail Gil Serrano.

Inspector (Investigation) of Gulshan Police Station Sheikh Shahinur Rahman said, “The Spanish embassy official died after falling from the roof of a building opposite to Pink City around noon. We guess he might have died by suicide.”

“A suicide note was recovered. The body is now at the scene. It is being preserved. Necessary action will be taken after filing the autopsy report,” he further said.
