IGP directs police officials to increase conviction rate in cases

Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said that the police officials have to work sincerely to increase the rate of conviction in different cases.

The IGP also directed the field-level police officers to ensure punishment of the perpetrators in sensitive cases.

He said this at a meeting with top police officials in the capital on the last day of police week yesterday (March 3).

Additional IGP (admin) Md Kamrul Ahsan, Additional IGP (crime and operations) and conference related deputy committee president Md Atiqul Islam spoke in the function.

RAB DG M Khurshid Hossain, special branch additional IGP Md Monirul Islam and other top officials attended the program.
