Probe yet to complete

Police are yet to complete the probe into the blast at the deadly explosion in a building at Siddique Bazar in the capital though one year has elapsed.

On March 7, last year, everything was going on normally in the Siddique Bazar of Bangshal area as usual. Suddenly, an explosion occurred there around 4:40am, leaving 26 people dead.

Later, a case was filed following the incident. However, the investigation report is not revealed yet. Even, the concerned officials could not tell the time frame of the probe report.

February 29, was fixed for submitting the investigation report. But Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) could not file the report on that day. So, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim set April 3 for submitting the report.

CTTC bomb disposal unit’s inspector SM Raisul Islam said the investigation is underway. Hopefully, we will be able to submit the report soon.
