Five women to get `Best Joyeeta Award’

Five women will be given “Best Joyeeta Award” on the occasion of International Women's Day for their contributions in different fields. They will be given a cheque of Tk 1 lakh, crest, shawl and certificate.

State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Simin Hossain Rimi revealed the matter at a press conference at the Secretariat in the capital on Thursday (March 7).

The state minister said that Anar Kali of Mymensingh, Kalyani Minzi of Rajshahi, tea worker Kamali Rabidas of Sylhet, Jahanara Begum of Barguna and Pakhi Datta Hijra of Khulna will be given the award.

Nazma Mobarek Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MoWCA), and Kaya Khan, Director General (DG) of Directorate of Women Affairs attended the function.
