Schools to stay open during Ramadan: SC

The appellate division of the supreme court on Tuesday (March 12) said primary and secondary educational institutions will remain open during the holy Ramadan.
A five-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan passed the order after staying the high court’s order suspending the decision to keep schools open in Ramadan.
Attorney General AM Amin Uddin moved for the state while senior lawyer AKM Fayez stood for the writ petitioner.
Earlier on February 8, the education directorate ordered the government and private high schools and junior high schools to keep open educational activities for 15 days from 11 to 25 March.
