Verdict in Sagira Morshed murder case today

The verdict in the case of the killing of Sagira Morshed in the capital's Siddheshwari three decades ago in a family feud is scheduled to announced today (March 13).
Dhaka Special Sessions Judge Court-3 Justice Mohammad Ali Hossain will announce the verdict.
Earlier on January 25, after presenting the arguments of the state and the accused, the date of judgment was fixed on February 8. However, on that day, the verdict was deferred to February 20. Later, the court deferred the verdict to March 13 as the verdict was not prepared on that day.
The individuals accused in this case are Dr Hasan Ali Chowdhury, Sagira's brother-in-law; his wife Sayedatul Mahmuda alias Shahin, Mahmud Rezwan, Maruf Reza, and Mantu Mandal alias Mintu.
Sagira Morshed was fatally shot on Shiddeshwari Road in Dhaka, on July 25, 1989, on her way to pick up her daughter from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College.
