PM calls for standing beside people without arranging iftar party

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged all to stand beside people without arranging iftar party during the Ramadan.
She urged all to refrain from arranging iftar party and distribute the saved money of the party to the distressed people.
The Prime Minister made the call in an unscheduled discussion in the cabinet meeting at her office on Wednesday. The premier chaired the meeting.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain briefed reporters on the meeting at the Secretariat.
In the meeting, she also gave directives to construct modern storage facilities for agricultural products in eight divisions, said the cabinet secretary.
The premier asked the Agriculture Ministry and Rural Development and Cooperative Department to take initiatives to build agriculture-based cooperative as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said.
