Fire at Hatirpool building brought under control

A fire broke out at a multi storey building in the capital’s Hatirpool kitchen market area on Thursday evening.

According to sources, the fire broke out at around 6:04 pm at the second floor of Raj Complex. 

Being informed, seven units of fire service rushed to the spot, and brought the fire under control at around 8:50pm.

Anowarul Haq, assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, confirmed the news.

At least four people have been rescued from the rooftop of the building, fire service officials said.
