Saudi Crown Prince to visit Bangladesh this year

Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman will visit Bangladesh at convenient time this year to expand relations with Bangladesh in multilateral sectors, particularly with a vision to increase KSA investment in this country in the coming days.
Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh Essa Youssef Essa Al Duhailan on Thursday confirmed this at a press meet at his Baridhara office.
The press meet was organized on the occasion of handover ceremony of food basket by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre.
Essa Youssef Essa Al Duhailan said the invitation of Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina to visit Bangladesh was handed over to Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman and was accepted by him. The office of the Crown is on working a plan to visit Bangladesh with a mutually convenient time with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Essa Youssef Essa Al Duhailan also said KSA is planning to invest 1.2 billion US dollars in prospective sectors of Bangladesh.
Earlier Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said on March 11 that Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman is expected to visit Bangladesh in the second half of 2024.
Essa Youssef Essa Al Duhailan recalled the contribution of 2.8 million Bangladeshis to the overall economic development of Saudi Arabia that in turn also helping Bangladesh’s socio-economic development.
Some 15,000 tonnes of relief materials will be distributed among poor people in Bangladesh.
Last year, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh Essa Youssef Essa Al Duhailan announced that the crown prince was set to visit Bangladesh in 2024.
