Abantika`s suicide: Deen Islam, Amman remanded

A court in Cumilla placed Jagannath University student Raihan Siddique Amman and Assistant Proctor Deen Islam on two-day and one-day remand respectively in the case filed over the death of law student Fairuz Abantika.
Comilla Senior Judicial Magistrate Abu Bakar Siddique passed the order around 11:00am on Monday (March 18).
Md Firoz Hossain, officer-in-charge of Cumilla Kotwali police station, confirmed the matter to risingbd.
Earlier on Saturday (March 16), Tahmina Shabnam, mother of the victim Abantika filed the case.
Abantika, a student of the JnU Law Department was found at her Comilla residence after accusing her classmate Amman and teacher Din Islam, who was relieved from the post of assistant proctor of the university, in a Facebook post around 10pm on Friday.
