Procession, rally banned in BSMMU

The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) administration has banned all kinds of rallies and processions in the university campus.

A notification signed by proctor professor Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter on Saturday (Marcg 23).

However, the varsity administration did not mention the reasons behind the new directions.

It is known that four senior officials of the university were assaulted on the campus on Friday (March 22).

Several aides of the outgoing vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Sharfuddin Ahmed, were assaulted on the campus on Saturday.

Following the issue, BSMMU proctor said the situation of the university was deteriorating due to various reasons including processions and meetings. Apart from this, four doctors were also assaulted. That’s why the notification has been issued.
