Fire breaks out at Korail slum

A fire broke out at Korail slum in Mohakhali area of the capital on Sunday (March 24) afternoon.

The fire originated at around 4:10pm at the slum.

Lima Khanam, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, confirmed the matter.

On information, twelve firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, she added.
