2nd-day train trial run on Bhanga-Rupdia route underway

The second-day trial run of train on Bhanga-Rupdia route is underway on Sunday (March 31) as part of Padma Bridge Rail Link project.
Earlier, the trial train left for Rupdia from Bhanga station of Faridpur at 8:41am on Saturday.
Abu Yusuf Md Shamim, Additional Chief Engineer, Padma Bridge Rail Link Project, said that the construction of Bhanga-Lohagra-Narail-Jashore section is almost complete.
As part of the work, the construction condition is being checked by operating trains at different speeds from Bhanga to Jashore. Trains are expected to run on this route formally by next June, he said.
This railway authority has been constructed to bring the southern and southwestern regions of the country under the railway network through the Padma Bridge Rail Link Project. The project has been implemented by the contracting company 'China Railway Group' (CREC) jointly funded by Bangladesh government and China, sources said.
