Banks to remain open in industrial areas for 3 days

The central bank has announced that scheduled bank branches will operate for three days on a limited scale ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
Department of Offsite Supervision (DOS) of Bangladesh Bank issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (March 31).
According to the notification, designated bank branches in industrial areas such as Dhaka, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj, and Chattogram will remain open on April 5, 6, and 7.
Banking operations during these three days will be conducted within designated time frames. On April 5, transactions will take place from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, with the bank remaining open until 3 pm. A break for Friday prayers will be observed from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm.
Similarly, on April 6 and 7, banking transactions will continue from 9:30 am to 1 pm, with the bank operating until 2:30 pm. A brief break for Zohar prayer will be observed from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm on both days.
