Cabinet committee recommends extending Eid holiday by one day

The Cabinet Committee on Law and Order has proposed an extension of the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday by one day for the comfort of the holidaymakers.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque revealed the matter after a meeting at the secretariate on Sunday (March 31).

The proposal was made to ensure smooth travelling of holidaymakers, he added.

The recommendations of the committee will be discussed in the cabinet meeting tomorrow.
