Abducted bank official rescued without ransom: RAB

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) managed to rescue the abducted bank officer Nizam Uddin from the kidnappers without any ransom.
Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Legal and Media Wing of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) revealed the matter in a press conference around 11:00am on Friday (April 5).
He was rescued with the help of the local administration, members of the intelligence agency and the law enforcement forces after making a strategic plan, he added.
In the press conference, the RAB official also said it is not that the bank official was kidnapped by a group. After the kidnapping, he was taken from one mountain to another by separate groups. He was given noodles to eat around 3:00am by the kidnappers.
In reply to a question, he said, the day after the Ruma bank robbery, two more banks were looted in Thanchi. Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) members opened fire aiming the police during the bank robbery to reveal their capabilities. To prevent such terrorist activities, law enforcement forces will launch a joint operation against the armed terrorists.
