Home Minister visits Bandarban Saturday

Militant group of Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) has created panic among the people in Bandarban district. 

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal will visit Bandarban on Saturday to inspect the overall situation.

Senior Information Officer of the home ministry Md. Sharif Mahmud Apu said that the minister will go to Bandarban by a helicopter on Saturday morning.

He said the home minister will visit Ruma and Bandarban and talk with high ups of the law enforcement agencies and inspect the overall situation.

Members of the militant group attacked Upazila Parishad office and later they stormed to Sonali Bank's Ruma branch in Bandarban and abducted its Manager Nizam Uddin around 8.30pm on Tuesday.

They also looted fire arms, cash from local banks, abducted sonali bank manager and assaulted ansars and police during their sudden attack.

Later, RAB successfully rescued the bank manager in a safe condition without taking any risk.
