Date of Eid to be confirmed this evening

When the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Bangladesh will be known this evening (April 8).

The date of Eid celebration will be decided after reviewing the news of the moon sighting of Shawwal month in 1445 Hijri.

If the moon is not seen on Tuesday, the month of Ramadan will complete 30 days on Wednesday; In that case, Eid will be on Thursday (April 11).

The national moon sighting committee will sit in a meeting to determine the date of the Eid-ul-Fitr around 6:30pm on Tuesday.

President of the National Moon Sighting Committee and Minister of Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan will preside over the meeting.
