10 injured as bus crashes into metro rail pillar

A passenger bus of Safety Paribahan collided with a pillar of the metro rail while travelling from Mirpur-12 to Azimpur, leaving its 10 passengers injured.

The incident took place around 2 pm on Tuesday (April 9).

The bus driver has been detained in this connection.

Eyewitnesses said a bus of Safety Paribahan lost control and collided with a pillar of the metro rail. Around 10 passengers were injured in the accident, with some in critical condition. The front part of the bus got twisted in the accident.

Kafrul police station confirmed the matter and said the injured were rushed to nearby hospital.
