Kamrangirchar slum catches fire

A fire broke out at a tin-shed slum in Jhaochar area under Kamrangirchar Thana in Dhaka.

The fire originated in the slum at around 11:50am on Friday (April 12).

Rozina Akter, duty officer of the Fire Service Civil Defence control room, confirmed the news.

On information, seven units of firefighters rushed to the spot to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
