PM opens Livestock Services Week, Exhibition

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the two-day Livestock Services Week and Exhibition, aiming to encourage the dairy and poultry farmers.
The premier formally opened the exhibition at the Old Trade Fair Ground at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar beside the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Thursday (April 18).
Bangladesh Dairy Farmers’ Association (BDFA) and Bangladesh Poultry Industry Central Council (BPICC) organized the exhibition with the assistance of Fisheries and Livestock Ministry.
People can visit the exhibition during 10:00 am to 8:00pm every day. The visitors will be allowed to enter the ground without any entry fee.
Similar fair has been organized at 466 upazilas of 64 districts at the same time.
Some 25 pavilions and 30 stalls have been set up on the exhibition ground to showcase the varieties of livestock of the country. Of those, seven pavilions have been dedicated for the government authorities.
