Fire at launch in Sadarghat brought under control 

A fire broke out at a launch in the capital's Sadarghat area on Tuesday noon.

The fire broke out at a launch at around 12:55pm at Shyambazar Ghat. Being informed, five units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at around 1:45pm.

Lima Khanam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, confirmed the news.

The cause of the fire and extend of damage could not be known immediately, she added.
