Upazila polls will be 100% fair: EC Ahsan Habib

Election Commissioner Brig General (Retd) Md Ahsan Habib Khan has said the upcoming Upazila Parishad polls will be free, fair and neutral.

The Election Commissioner came up with the remark while exchanging views with journalists marking the Pirojpur Upazila Parishad polls on Saturday (April 27).

“Upazila Parishad elections will be 100 per cent influence-free and impartial. If any candidate or anyone involved in the election commits any irregularities, they will get punishment. In this regard, the Election Commission along with the Head of Government is in 100 per cent hardline. Journalists have been asked to inform the administration about irregularities”, he said.
