Student killed by DSCC truck: Three terminated 

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has terminated three persons including a driver over the killing of a schoolboy by a garbage truck at Mugdha. 

An official order signed by DSCC Secretary Akramuzzaman was issued in this regard on Monday. 

DSCC Public Relations Officer Md Abu Naser said the three staff are driver Md Kamal and two cleaners Md Akther Hossain and Md Abdul Quader Jilani.  

As per the officer’s directive, they were dismissed under Section 64 (2) of the DSCC Service Rules-2019.

The student was Mahin Ahmed, a class seven student of Motijheel Ideal School.

On 25 April, DSCC garbage vehicle Dhaka Metro Sha-11-4281 pushed Mahin  when it was passing Siam Tower at Madinabag Kacha Bazar in the Mugdha area around 9:45 pm. Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he was declared dead by duty doctors.
