Jhenaidah-1 by-election postponed 

The High Court has postponed the Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) constituency by-election, scheduled to be held on June 5. 

The HC bench of Justice Md Zakir Hossain issued the order on Monday, for halting the electoral process until further notice.

The Jhenaidah-1 seat fell vacant following the demise of Member of Parliament and District Awami League President Abdul Hai on March 16.
