PM’s directive to find out cause of Sundarbans fire

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed to find out the exact cause of Sundarbans fire and take necessary steps in this regard.

The Prime Minister came up with the direction at a Cabinet meeting on Monday (May 6).

Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain informed this at a press briefing after the meeting.

She also directed to continue fire service effort until this is controlled.

The cabinet secretary said the home minister also informed the meeting that the situation in the Sundarbans will be monitored for few days as forest fire is not like usual fire.
