Contempt matter:  Public prosecutor apologies to court 

Advocate Zahirul Islam Palash, the special public prosecutor of Khulna Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal-2, has apologized unconditionally to the High Court for releasing a video containing contempt matter and false and defamatory remarks against a judge on social media. 

The state lawyer sought unconditional apology appearing before the High Court bench of Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Raziq Al Jalil on Tuesday (May 7). 

However, the court exempted him from personal appearance. The date of next hearing has been fixed on June 11.

Advocate Saeed Ahmed Raza represented Zahirul Islam in the court. Deputy Attorney General Kazi Mainul Hasan appeared for the state. Barrister Khondkar Reza-e Rakib stood for BTRC.
