Govt to declare heatwave as disaster 

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Md Mohibur Rahman has said that the government will declare the heatwave as a disaster.

The State Minister said this while talking to newsmen at the Secretariat on Thursday (May 9).

The government is taking preparations to face heatwave and include heat issues in climate change related policies.

“The government is considering to declare a disaster if the temperature reaches above 40 degree Celsius”, he said.
