‘Kacchi Bhai’ owner sent to jail

Sohel Siraj, owner of Kacchi Bhai Restaurant, has been sent to jail after a two-day remand in a case filed in connection with the fire at his restaurant building on Bailey Road in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order on Friday.

CID police produced him before the court after the two-day remand.

Immigration Police arrested Sohel at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on May 7. Later, they handed over him to CID. 

A case was filed in connection with the fire. After the fire incident, he fled to Malaysia.
