Donald Lu due in Dhaka today

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on today (May 14).

During the visit, besides discussing the bilateral relations with the United States, Dhaka will also discuss the visa policy imposed by the foreign office of US and the lifting of the ban on the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), diplomatic sources said.

The sources said during his visit to Dhaka, Donald Lu will meet with Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen. Besides, he is also scheduled to meet foreign minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman and others.

This will be the first meeting of him to visit Dhaka after the January 7 national election. He visited Dhaka on January 14 and 15 last year.
