Donald Lu arrives in Dhaka

The US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, has arrived in Dhaka on a two-day visit.
He landed at Hazrat Shah Jalal International airport by a flight of Sri Lankan airlines around 11:00 am on Tuesday (May 14).
During the visit, besides discussing the bilateral relations with the United States, Dhaka will also discuss the visa policy imposed by the foreign office of US and the lifting of the ban on the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), diplomatic sources said.
The sources said during his visit to Dhaka, Donald Lu will meet with Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen. Besides, he is also scheduled to meet Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman, and others.
