Private car catches on flyover near Dhaka airport

A private car caught fire on a flyover near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this noon (May 16).

On information, two fire units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 12:00pm.

Fire service and civil defence control room duty officer Rozina Akter confirmed the matter.

Monayem Billah, Kurmitola station warehouse inspector said that there was no passenger in the car. The driver of the car managed to leave the vehicle after the fire broke out.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
