Rahim used to supply arms to Sharqiya

Members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested Abdur Rahim, the main arms supplier of the banned militant outfit 'Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya'.

A team of CTTC arrested him from Kaliakair in Gazipur on Wednesday.

Later, based on the information given by him, the law enforcers recovered a large amount of arms and explosives from two hidden drums in the forest located at Naikhongchhari in Bandarban district.

DMP held a press conference at its media center on Friday.

At the press conference, Additional Police Commissioner (CTTC) Md Asaduzzaman said he used to supply arms to Sharqiya.
