The Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) chief Additional Commissioner Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid has said that the possibility to get the body of Jhenaidah-4 constituency MP Anwarul Azim Anar is very low although efforts are being made to recover the body.
“Killers cut MP Anar’s body into many pieces and later separated bone from flesh. Then they took them out of the flat with travel bag on different times,” he said during a press briefing at his office on Thursday (May 23).
The DB chief also said investigation is underway to find out those involved in the MP Anar murder.
MP Anwarul Azim, who is a resident of the Nischintapur village in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah, went to West Bengal of India on May 12. He went out to see a physician the next day and did not return. Later, his severed body was recovered from a flat in New Town area of Kolkata on Wednesday (May 22).
