Court orders to confiscate ex-IGP Benazir Ahmed’s property

A Dhaka court has ordered to confiscate all the moveable and immovable properties of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed. Besides, the court has also ordered to seize 83 deeds of his properties and  frezze 33 bank accounts. 

The Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad Ash Shams Jaglul Hossain passed the order on Thursday (May 23).

The order was given in responding to a plea made by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan.
