Remal turns into cyclone, moving towards coast 

The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has turned into a cyclone, Remal, and moving towards coast. 

It is likely to escalate into a severe cyclone and hit Bangladesh and West Bengal coast on the night of May 26 or morning of May 27.

A release signed by Chief Weather Researcher of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)  Khalid Hossain informed this at around 7:30pm on Saturday (May 25).

According to BWOT, cyclonic storm 'Remal' is likely to hit the middle point of West Bengal’s Digha and Bangladesh’s Patuakhali district.
