MP Anar killing: 3 accused put on 5-day remand

A Dhaka court has granted a five-day fresh remand to the three accused over the murder of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mollick passed the order on Friday (May 31).
Earlier, DB police assistant commissioner Mahfuzur Rahman produced the accused before the court after seeking eight-day remand.
Those remanded are Syed Amanullah Aman alias Shimul Bhuiyan, 56, Faisal Ali Saji alias Tanvi Bhuiyan, 30, and Celesty Rahman, 22.
On May 24, the court granted an 8-day remand to the three suspects. Anar’s daughter Mumtarin Ferdoush Dorin filed the case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station in Dhaka.
