There are signs of apprehension about Rohingyas: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that there are some signs of apprehension about the Rohingyas have come from Myanmar.

The minister said this while visiting APBN office of Rohingya camp at Number 19 Ghonar para of Ukhiya at around 11:00am on Friday.

He said, “The future of Rohingya is uncertain. We have been saying before that if they are not sent back to their homeland Myanmar soon, instability may be created. A hub for international terrorists can be created here. Arms may come. Many things can happen. We can see some signs of things”.

The presence of some people who are fighting inside Myanmar has been noticed here, he mentioned.

Asaduzzaman said the biggest matter of concern is - Bangladesh doesn't produce any drugs but drugs are coming from Myanmar as some people of the camp are involved with drug peddling.

"We are trying to identify them to bring them to justice" he said.
