Speaker urges women journos to raise collective voices to overcome challenges

Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury has urged women journalists to raise collective voices to overcome any challenge while performing their duties.

The speaker made the call while addressing a program organized by Nari Sangbadik Kendro at the international mother language institute on Sunday noon (June 2).

Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emerged as an icon in the world for her outstanding contribution in empowerment of women. She (Prime Minister) has created a women-friendly atmosphere in all spheres of the society, where womenfolk are getting opportunity to establish a dignified life.

Meanwhile, the speaker urged the female journalists to equip themselves with acquiring ICT-based knowledge to avert cybercrimes as they are facing different forms of harassment in social media platforms.
