No cattle markets at Aftabnagar: Appellate division

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has upheld the High Court order to suspend the lease notification for setting up a cattle market in Dhaka's Aftabnagar on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

A four-judge appellate bench, led by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan, passed the order on Monday (June 3).

Advocate Shah Manjurul Haque and Advocate SM Shamim Hossain moved for the writ petitioner.

Earlier on May, 8, an HC bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Kazi Zinat Haque suspended the lease notification for setting up makeshift cattle market at Aftabnagar.
