New RAB DG takes charge

New Director General of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Barrister Harun-Ar-Rashid has officially taken charge.

He replaced M Khurshid Hossain formally on Wednesday morning (June 5).

Commander Arafat Islam, the Director of Legal and Media Wing of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) confirmed the news.

Hailed from Mollakandi village of Baluchar union in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj, Barrister Md. Harun Ur Rashid had worked as an Additional Inspector General of Police at police headquarters. Earlier, he was the DIG of the Mymensingh Range.

He completed his MSc in Statistics from the University of Dhaka in 1994. He obtained an LLB degree from the University of London in 2009 and an MBA degree from the University of Dhaka in 2016.
