“This budget will make life easier for common people”

Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali said this year's budget will make life easier for common people. There is no benefit in unnecessarily increasing the amount of money in the budget.

The minister said this while addressing reporters at his residence in the capital on Thursday (June 6).

He said, "I have cut down the budget as there is no point in providing more and more. We are trying to do the best we can. I want to make life easier for the common people."

This budget for FY25 will be the maiden budget of incumbent Finance Minister AH Mahmood Ali. The size of the proposed budget would be Tk 7,97000 crore.
