Universal Pension Scheme sees over 3 lakh enrollers

The number of registrations in the universal pension scheme crossed three lakh in 10 months.

Sharif Uddin, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance, revealed the information on Monday (June 10).

The government launched the universal pension scheme on 17 August last year. The number of registrations in the pension scheme reached 3,03176 at 12:00pm on Monday.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the Universal Pension Scheme to ensure a sustainable and well-structured social security to the elderly population.
