Eid special train journey begins

The Eid special train journey carrying the homebound people started on Wednesday (June 12) ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.

Earlier, Bangladesh Railway (BR) decided to run 20 Eid special trains to facilitate holidaymakers.

According to the action plan, "Chandpur Eid Special (1, 2, 3, and 4)" will run on the Chattogram-Chandpur- Chattogram route for seven days from Wednesday.

At the same time "Dewanganj Eid Special (5, and 6)" on the Dhaka-Dewanganj-Dhaka route, "Mymensingh Eid Special (7, and 8)" on the Chattogram-Mymensingh-Chattogram route, "Cox's Bazar Eid Special (8, and 9)" on Chattogram-Cox's Bazar- Chattogram route will run. These trains will run from June 12 to the day before Eid and seven days after Eid.

Besides, the "Parbatipur Eid Special" will run on the Joydevpur-Parbatipur-Joydevpur route on June 13-15 and after Eid on June 21-23.

“Sholakia Eid Special (11, and 12)” on Bhairab Bazar-Kishorganj-Bhairab Bazar route, “Sholakia Eid Special (13, and 14)” on Mymensingh-Kishorganj-Mymensingh route, “Gor-e-Shahid Eid Special (17, and 18)” on Parbatipur-Dinajpur-Parbatipur route; "Gor-e-Shahid Eid Special (19, and 20)" will ply on Thakurgaon-Dinajpur-Thakurgaon route only on Eid days.
