Youth crushed under train while filming TikTok video

A youth died after being run over by a train while he was filming a TikTok video Jamtla area of Gerda union in Faridpur Sadar on Tuesday (June 11).

The deceased was known as Labib Mridha, 18, son of Md Liton, hailed from Tepakhela area of Faridpur district town. Labib recently passed the SSC exam from Fridpur Zilla School.

Abdul Haque, councilor of ward number 26 of Faridpur municipality, said Labib and his three friends went to Jamtala in Bakhunda by two motorcycles and were making videos on the railway line. A Dhaka-bound Benapole Express train approached in the area around 7:00pm. Meanwhile, Labib's three friends managed to escape, but he was struck by the train and died on the spot.

Faridpur Katwali police station SI Jahangir Alam said that we have heard the matter. Rajbari railway police will take necessary steps in this regard.

Rajbari railway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Somnath Bashu said confirmed the matter.
