Prisoner dies while undergoing treatment at DMCH

An inmate of Keraniganj central jail died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday morning (June 13).

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Opu, 45, son of Jasim Uddin.

Jail guard Samrat Ghosh said the prison authority admitted him to the hospital in a critical condition from Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj this morning. Later, the DMCH doctor declared him dead around 7:00 am.

DMCH police outpost In-charge Mohammad Bacchu Mia said the body was kept the hospital morgue for autopsy.
