DB seeks 10-day remand for Jhenidah AL leader Mintu

Detective Branch of police (DB) sought 10-day of remand to a Dhaka court for grilling arrested Jhenidah district Awami League general secretary Saidul Karim Mintu in a case filed over the murder of Anwarul Azim Anar MP.

DB police assistant commissioner Mahfuzur Rahman produced the accused before the court seeking the remand plea on Thursday (June 13).

The hearing will be held at the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain.

Earlier on June 11, DB police arrested Saidul Karim Mintu from Dhanmandi in the capital.

Mumtarin Ferdoush Dorin, daughter of Anwarul Azim Anar MP filed a murder case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. According to the statement of the case field by his daughter, Azim on May 9 left his official residence at Manik Mia Avenue for his village home in Jhenaidah.
