MP Anar murder: AL leader Mintu placed on 8-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed Jhenaidah district Awami League general secretary Saidul Karim Mintu on an 8-day remand for interrogation in a case filed over the murder of Anwarul Azim Anar MP.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzel Hossain granted the remand prayer following hearing in the case on Thursday (June 13).
Earlier, the investigating officer of the case produced the accused before the court with 10-day remand prayer.
On Tuesday (June 11), Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) police arrested the Awami League leader from Dhanmondi and, later, showed him arrested in the MP Anar murder case finding his involvement in the murder.
