Holidaymakers started returning to the capital Dhaka using roads, rivers, and railways after celebrating Eid-ul-Azha – one of the largest religious festivals for Muslims – in their native homes throughout the country.
Such picture came into notice after visiting Gulistan, Sayedabad and Mohakhali bus terminals in the capital on Wednesday.
Government employees, as well as many working in the private sector, had received a three-day holiday from June 16 to June 18.
The offices of the government, semi-government and autonomous organizations, banks and stock markets resumed on Wednesday after Eid-ul-Azha vacation.
The government employees will have to serve eight hours from June 19.
