‘If Mithamain road responsible for flood in Sylhet, govt will take steps’

Many people in social media have alleged that the Mithamain road in Kishoreganj is responsible for flood in Sylhet.

In responding to a question on Thursday, State Minister for Water Resource Jahid Faruk said, "If the Mithamain road is responsible for the flood in Sylhet, the government will take steps to resolve the problem”.

The state minister visited the Shadi canal area of Tukerbazar in Sylhet city.

Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, officials of Water Development Board, Sylhet and councilors of various wards were also present.
